LONDON (AP) -Millwall football club has banned a 13-year-old supporter indefinitely after he admitted racially abusing Bolton striker Marvin Sordell.
The fan has issued a written apology for abusing Sordell during the English second-tier club's 2-1 win over Bolton Wanderers on Oct. 6.
The incident led to investigations by the Football Association and both clubs, and came just one week after former England captain John Terry was banned by the FA for racially abusing Anton Ferdinand in the Premier League.
Because of the fan's age, Millwall decided not to issue a life ban, only "for the forseeable future," and offered him a place on the "Millwall for All" educational program.
