Prolific bouyon songwriter/ producer/ recording artist Neijel ?Nayee? Jno. Baptiste, popularly dubbed as the ?Bouyon Prince? will release his first solo video on?on Friday, July 12th, 2013.
?This video features Nayee?s first summer single release ?Darling?.
?Darling? is a groovy soca type song which showcases the artist?s versatility. It has an enticing acoustic guitar accompaniment and melodious lyrics.
?The inspiration behind this video originated from an actual real-life experience which many Dominicans may refer to as Gwo-Pwel?, Nayee jokingly admits. ? It?s a real life story where a guy ends up losing his girlfriend due to him being accused of cheating with another woman, when she actually proved to be just a stalker?, he explained.
The former front man for Bouyon giants WCK says the reason for producing this video which was directed by Ambo Visuals and Fire Nation Entertainment, was to send a message to his fans and the general public ?that I am taking steps to do things differently this time around with my music and solo career?. I didn?t want to release just another song but, actually add some visual representation to my production. This is the trend being taken in the global music industry today.?
He says he believes ?Darling? is marketable. ?I would like to take the opportunity to ask all my fans to continue showing me the support that they have given me over the years by playing their part in sharing and promoting this video?. Dominica?s music and artists need to be promoted, most importantly by the people. This in turn can and will take our music industry to heights unforeseen by many?.
For local viewers, the video will be aired on Marpin & SAT on Friday, July 12th, 2013 immediately after the evening news and for viewers worldwide, the video will be officially released on Nayee?s Facebook page and Youtube channel the same night.
The video will be released at an event to be held at the Banana?Tree Bar & Grill also known as ?Garage from 7:30pm on Friday.
