The application is still in beta, but it seems to work fine on Windows 8.1 Preview 64-bit, even though you can still see the built-in Start button when you move the mouse cursor in the lower left corner.
The app includes several customization options and comes with an interface that reminds of the Start screen. In addition, it provides quick access to power options, such as shut down, restart, or log off.
Start Menu Reviver comes free of charge for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 Preview users and works on both 32- and 64-bit versions of the operating system.
